This year, 2024, Katherine Lemke qualified for the United States Amateur Championship at Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Geneva native and Virginia Tech student shot 67 at Heritage Oaks in Northbrook to qualify. Senior Nick Lombardo from Elgin, won his conference tournament individually and qualified for sectionals with a 74 at Golf Club of Illinois. High school players that qualified for the IHSA State finals included Rylee Huddleston, Hannah Kizman, Isabella Krosse, Avery DePaul and Javeria Hasan, all from St. Charles North. The North Stars had an impressive run by winning Conference, Regional, and Sectional tournaments in route to a 7th place finish at the state finals. Sisters Kailey and Emma Kuntsman were sectional qualifiers playing for the Kaneland Knights and along with teammates Brighton Davoust, Addison Braverman, Addison Runestad and Kinslee Coster won the conference tournament.

2023 saw major accomplishments from Golfunderground students Emma Carpenter and Sarah Arnold who both qualified for the United States Amateur Championship at Bel-Air Country Club in Los Angeles. Sarah had an amazing summer of golf by adding a second Illinois Amateur championship in 2023 and finishing runner-up at the Illinois Open. Katherine Lemke also had quite a run the past two years with back-to-back Big East Individual championships while playing collegiately at Creighton University in 2022 and 2023. 2021 was a successful year for many Golf Underground students in tournament competition. In April, Josh Pehl shot a final round 64 to win the MAJGT at Orchard Valley, In May, Catie Nekola qualified for the USGA Girls Junior Championship at Columbia Country Club in Washington D.C. In July Emma Carpenter placed 4th in the Illinois Open including an opening round 68 and 2 under total for 54 holes. Katherine Lemke qualified for the PGA Junior Championship at Valhalla in Louisville and placed 3rd at the Illinois Junior Am in August. September and October proved profitable for GolfUnderground students, especially at the state tournament. In the Girls tournament Catie Nekola (St. Charles North) & Reese Clark (Geneva) tied for 4th and Katherine Marshall (Kaneland) placed 14th. On the boys side, Josh Pehl (Kaneland) claimed a top 20.  

In 2020 Pat had 3 students win tournaments. Catie Nekola won the Chick Evans Match Play Championship, Katherine Lemke won the IJGA Dupage Classic, and Reese Clark won the IJGA Player of the Year Championship. In 2019, student Josh Pehl qualified for the Drive, Chip & Putt finals at Augusta National during Masters week! Sarah Arnold won the Illinois Women’s Amateur and qualified for the USGA Junior Girls Championship at Sentry World in Stevens Point Wisconsin. In fall 2019 we had 3 high school individual conference champions, Lucas Pehl (Kaneland 69), Katherine Lemke (St. Francis 78), and Catie Nekola (St. Charles North 72). Katherine Lemke was medalist at the IHSA regional (71) and sectional (76) qualifying and finished 12th in the IHSA Girls State tournament. In 2018 students Sarah Arnold & Catie Nekola were state champions from St. Charles North high school.
